Find faults, in yourself.
Find faults, in yourself.
No one is perfect. Imperfections
define the being. They give you an identity, a reason to grow. Imperfections are
beautiful. The need is to identify your flaws, embrace them, understand them,
rectify them and then improvise. Flaws are vividly colorful. We can paint a
phenomenal picture in the canvas of life using these colors.
But the first step towards creating a
masterpiece is to understand what you are actually working with. You need to
understand yourself. You must introduce yourself to the original you. And this
real identity of yours is flooded with flaws. Love yourself. This is the first
step to be able to tread the paths of success. Ignoring, abusing or avoiding
this confrontation with your flaws negates the very essence of life. Life is
all about learning and growing and for that you need to be a friend of your
flaws.
Once you’re done with the introduction
session, just write down all the faults that you were able to encounter and
remember that honesty is the best policy. Be true to yourself while writing
your weaknesses. You are about to undergo a self-transformation process and you
are doing it for your own betterment and welfare. If you try to camouflage your
flaws, you will be the one who is losing out on improvement. So create a list
of your weaknesses with all the generosity in the world. What you write is
going to be the outcome of your daily experiences. You need to contemplate and
reflect upon your past and your thoughts to come out with the true shades of
life. You need to recall incidents as small as quarreling with someone over a
petty issue to as serious as ramifications of a life changing decision. Just
contemplate. You may take as much time as you want; after all we are dealing
with your character’s makeover. The list may contain anything that is barring
you from all the joys of development and eventually success. For better
understanding, let me tell you what my list of flaws consisted of and I am not
embarrassed or scared of sharing these things with you because I am happily
done with the confrontation session and I love the beautiful person that I am.
Your list may contain anything from laziness to loudness.
Analyze your list; it is a reflection of how vivid you are. Getting depressed
or hating yourself just because of your imperfections is completely futile.
Now, the real journey of improvement begins, give yourself a
second chance. You are the master of your body and mind. You are the in charge.
You know what has to be done. You know you deserve all the happiness of this
beautiful world. So, the next step is to eliminate these flaws, unwind and free
yourself from all these restrictions and boundations. This might be a long and
difficult process but the result is worth it. Just keep on reiterating what you
want to let go. Feel that you are de-cluttering your body. Think about how you
have kept yourself so busy and stressed managing all these things at the same
time. Now you are done with all this. Just let go of your anger,
procrastination, laziness or it might be anything else in your case. Feel
relaxed. Think how changed your life would have been provided that you would
have curtailed from all these actions. Stop blaming others. Once you start
taking responsibility of every area of your life, you will be able to grab more
opportunities to highlight your flaws, rectify them and improve. Don’t hate
yourself for committing mistakes rather observe and learn.
Edison has perfectly put it in words, saying “ I have not
failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won’t work. “
Once you start getting rid of all the strings of flaws that
were binding you, the outcome will be marvelous.
You have been successfully able to paint that phenomenal
picture in the canvas of your life. And the portrait is of you.
So amazing.

Hi Aditi
ReplyDeleteLovely thoughts. I particularly like where you say "Stop blaming others. Once you start taking responsibility of every area of your life, you will be able to grab more opportunities". I think this is the absolute source of all happiness. Believing that you, and you alone, are in charge of your life.
Waiting to hear more from you.
Regards
Megha
